Summer is gone & colder temps are on their way, but smile, a new month means a new box from Beauty Box 5. Hard to believe, but this month is already flying by! Thankfully, the postal service has delivered a reason to smile.
Without further ado, let’s jump in.
If you’ve yet to become acquainted with Beauty Box 5, they are my favorite subscription service. For $12 a month, 5 new & new-to-you products are delivered via USPS directly to you. Between the cost of the product & gasoline to drive to the store to shop, you’ll save money & time. You get to try products you may not have heard of, rediscover forgotten favorites, or to try ones you’ve heard of but hadn’t purchased. Whether you love, like, or dislike items in the box, it’s a blast to experience different colors & fragrances. With a $12 price tag, it’s a steal!
September’s Box is fantastic. To start off, we have Elizabeth Mott’s Tints & Sass Lip + Cheek Stain. Lightweight, this stain comes in a tiny tube to deliver a pop of color. I’d have liked to have seen it last a bit longer; however, the initial boldness of it lasts until you eat or drink. It might be the type of cosmetic to keep in your desk drawer for right before a meeting in order to wake up your look. It has a pricey MSRP of $22.99, but if used intermittently, it would last long enough to justify its price.
If a bright eye look is in order, we have Bellepierre’s Shimmer Powder in Snowflake. Glittery is the best adjective to describe it. I was surprised at how long the shimmer actually lasted. It’s definitely bright & I would probably only use it at night or during the holidays. The color itself is very pretty, but I couldn’t justify using it for a daytime look. I do like the size of the container, as it’s small & easily stored. Again, being that it isn’t an everyday wear type of eye color, it’s $19.99 MSRP isn’t all that bad.
In keeping with great eye cosmetics, we have ‘Be a Bombshell’ Cosmetics’ Eye Crayon. The shade in my box was ‘Stonehenge’. I’d describe it as a deep gray. ‘Be a Bombshell’ is a new-to-me company. I have to admit I really liked this one. While I usually stick to really dark shades for my eyes, I like both the look & feel of this crayon. I have to say that it lasted longer than my usually eye shadow crayon, too. I wouldn’t have attempted the shade on my own if it hadn’t been in the box. I’m glad I got to experiment a bit. With its MSRP of $14, it’s only a few dollars more than the brand I’m used to & will be visiting their site soon.
Another new-to-me company was Beautiful Nutrition. Their ‘Lemon Rinse Gentle Clarifying Treatment’ is included in this month’s goodies. The scent is magnificent. It reminded me of my mom using lemon juice on her own hair when we were kids in order to add shine. Well, this rinse is better than plain lemon juice, for sure! Use a capful from your roots to ends after washing. It added a lot of shine to my hair. It has an MSRP of $10 & works wonderfully to cleanse your hair.
Harvey Prince has produced quite a few fragrances that I’ve been a fan of throughout the years. ‘Sincerely’ is no different. My husband is also a fan of the scent. If you change your scent with the season, you’ll want to sample this one. It’s a mix of freesia, cedarwood, & orange flower delivered to you on a mini roller. It’s affordable MSRP is $21.
There are 3 full-sized products in this month’s box. That’s incredible! I love getting BB5 delivered each month. It always brings a smile to my face. You can find out product info & ordering info by visiting http://www.beautybox5.com. You won’t regret giving them a try!
I received the aforementioned products in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.
