Using Robots to Educate Kids

I remember being in elementary school & brainstorming with my classmates on what life would be like in the 2000’s. Remember doing that? We all guessed at inventions like flying cars & other fun ideas we’d all seen on ‘The Jetsons’. While we’re not that advanced-yet, we are seeing robots utilized in ways we’d never have imagined 20 years or so ago.

To me the term ‘code’ was something Penelope Garcia uses on ‘Criminal Minds’. In other words, it’s a high-tech, confusing computer type work. But with the modern world we live in, our kids will need skills like these to be successful in an uber competitive employment school. I imagine most parents are in the boat that I’m in- I have no idea what it is so how can I teach it?

Wonder Workshop has stepped in & saved the day! They’ve created an innovative approach to teaching kids code. What kid isn’t intrigued by a robot? My boys love them. So by combining something kids love with something they need to know, we have a winning combo. Now these robots are invading (in a good way) 150 schools!

For ages 5-infinity, Dash & Dot ‘grow’ with students, adapting to new age levels & skill sets. Early learners have the opportunity to explore. Elementary students apply their new skills with design challenges. Older students of any age can invent, making their robot interact in ways of their chosing.

So, how does it work?
