This fabulous, monthly subscription service delivers 5 beauty products directly to your mailbox. Every month is different & for the super low price of $12 a month, you get to pamper yourself with new-to-you products. Add up the total retail prices. You’ll be stunned by how much you save by trying the products with Beauty Box 5.
Once in a while, you’ll find a tried & true favorite in the box. For the most part, though, they really do give you the opportunity to try new products. January’s box included 3 brands I know & 2 newbies.
Anyone who’s every used nail polish knows Sally Hansen. While you may have tried her polish, did you know she made peel-&-wear strips? I didn’t. 16 polish strips come in each box & so far, their ten day timeline for wear is pretty accurate. Colors & prints vary by box & store. My box was a stripe print, red & black. Though normally I wouldn’t have gone in that direction for a pattern, I really ended up liking them. I feel the $9.99 MSRP is pretty reasonable.
For cleansing, we have two well-known brands. Softsoap is available just about everywhere. Nutri Serum Vitamin E Body Wash wasn’t one I’d used. Honestly, this one is everything you want/need in a winter body wash. My skin gets terribly dry so I appreciate all the help I can get keeping moisture locked in. I’ve used a number of different scents of their bodywash & have always been a fan.
For your hair, January brings us Garnier Fructis Daily Care Fortifying Shampoo. There’s no surprise with Garnier. They’ve been a great brand for years & are all over media. There’s not too much to add that you wouldn’t already know.
New-to-Me is the Ultraflesh: The Gold Standard Mascara in Blackout. I’ll be honest: when I saw the tiny tube, I chuckled. I haven’t had the best luck with small mascaras that promise me the world. However, I was wrong this time. Little guys can do big things too. Layering 3 layers as recommended on my Beauty Box 5 product card, it definitely got all the lashes & made my eyes pop. The $21 MSRP price tag is a bit far from my reach at the moment. If you can swing it, give it a try.
Lastly, we have Coastal Scents Eye Shadow. Arriving as a quad, the colors themselves were fine. I was disappointed in the amount of wear they provided. The color didn’t even last half the day. I’d pass on these. Prices vary according to shadow amount ordered from $1.95-$24.95.
Beauty Box 5 never fails to deliver quality each month. Even if, as I did, you find out one product isn’t for you, it still beats playing roulette in the make-up department. Don’t get stuck with product you’ll never wear. Visit http://www.beautybox5.com.
